Pay Attention! The map's interactive, play with it! This is not a comprehensive map of our trip, this is just what we know is happening, plus vague ideas of what might happen. We'll let you know when we get there, and update the map appropriately. If the names of the places don't appear, try clicking on "map" or "satellite", they have more labels on them.

Adjustments

Ok, I've made just a couple of adjustments to the page, I hope you like them.
I've added the pretty picture to the right hand section. It's not a great photo, and it's a little old, but you get the idea of what europe is being invaded by.

Also I've figured out a makeshift technique to let you guys know where we are on the trip. See the little emblem on the map, looks like a little a camera? That's where we've are! Yes, right now it's in a boring place, but then it will move! The symbol that looks like a speech bubble will be placed on the locations as we pass them, so all the places with speech bubbles, we've been to. I've placed a speech bubble icon on Sydney, just to give you the idea of what it looks like.

Have fun,
Bob

Not long now...

Time is rapidly passing by and there is now less than a month until we leave on our adventure!
The pile in the corner of my room is slowly growing with the essential gear to take, but I bet I'll still forget something.. :)
I'm really keen to get some snowboarding underway. There is currently 115cm of snow on the slopes at our resort, and an avalanche risk of 3/5. I'm not certain if this is good or bad, I'm sure we'll find out soon tho. Other than running about sorting out odd things before we leave, there isn't much to report on, but stay tuned! the interesting stuff isn't far off...

John

Avalanche?

Ummm, that post below by John has me somewhat worried. Yeah, avalanche risk is supposedly 3/5. What does that mean? Does that mean that we have a 60% chance of getting caught in an avalanche? We are skiing for a week, so is that a 60% chance each day we're there?
Hmmm, anyways, here's a picture of the conditions there, partly because I thought it was pretty, and partly because I wanted to check out how the picture posting worked.
