Ok, We have arrived in glorious downtown Athens, and since we have unlimited internet here, we though we'd get you guys up to speed on our whereabouts, and post some pretty pictures whilst we're at it.
But before I do that, I would like to give a beer a special mention. It's name is Salvatori, and I LOVE IT! We came across it in a Pizzaria in Venice, where it was merely labelled as a "Red Beer". Anyways, it is delicious!
After Milan, we sat in our bus for another few hours, before arriving in our hotel outside of Venice, the next day, and a half hour train trip, and we arrive in Venice itself.
We saw pretty glassmaking, pretty lacemaking, and pretty expensive prices.
This is me trying to be artistic with my shot angles, it kind of worked, I think you'll agree.
And finally, the first shot of Team Duamo! These are the hooligans we've been hanging out with throughout Italy, and I have to warn you, they are each and every one of them dangerous.
Team Duamo is (from left to right)
Me (Duh)
Sammy (it's a pink Bo-at!)

Here we Have a picture of the Roman Forum, which is pretty much ruins, but I thought they were pretty cool.
And the Spanish Steps, nice and sunny (yay!)
We headed over to the Vatican City, and checked out St Peters square. Unfortunately the queue to go into the Basilica stretched like 3/4 of the way around the square (not exagerating), and the queue into the museum was longer still. So we decided to skip that.

Fortunately on the way back we decided to look into the Castel St Antonio (?), for which entry was free (go culture!). It was pretty cool, and offered some awesome veiws from the top.
But eventually our time in Rome ended, and we headed off to glorious Bari!
And now we have our novelty photo for the post. In case you can't read what it says, you are looking at a petrol station, with the labels Diesel (black), Miscela (red writing on white) and Super Senza Piombo (green). Now Diesel's easy, and Super sounds like something I'd want to put in my car, but I'm a little bit hesitant to use any petrol who's name, to me, reads "
At the end of our day In Bari, we boared the Ferry, the Superfast XII, left Itally at 8:00pm local time, and headed off for Greece!
And that's where we are now, one 15 hour ferry ride, and 3 hour bus trip later. Fortunately Athens, for all the greek letters that are giving me frightening flashbacks to my lab, has almost everything also in English, so getting around is pretty easy.
We'll let you know how we progress. Have fun guys!

Hi Guys, nice pictures. Did you have a good nights sleep in Bari? ;) Good to hear about the free internet. Does that mean more updates?? :D Its good to see you're having fun.
Love Sal xox
Amazing that as soon as Bob and John put photos of girls on their blog there seems to be a nice influx of comments:)
Shame on you!
They look like lovely, clean girls.
What does Duamo mean? The name of your team? Why were you a team? Were you put together or is this some nerdy cult that you've both been drugged into joining? :)
Looks like you guys are having an amazing time! Good to see you're getting some sunshine.
And good to see John is looking nice and slim. My bet is SOOOO in the bag! Keep drinking that beer Bob!
Sending you guys huge hugs from a VERY quiet home.

Ok, hey guys, yeah I should have explained Duamo.
A Duamo is like the main church of a town. As far as we can tell, no town has more than one Duamo, but a town doesn't necesarily have to have one.
Anyways, the first one we came across was in Piza, where Semona (our tour manager) said Duamo in her heavy italian accent about 20 times in the space of 5 minutes.
Upon getting off the bus, John revealed that he hated the word Duamo, and so we instantly started saying it incessantly, for the entire remainder of the trip.
Hence John is captain Duamo, and we make Team Duamo.
And no, we're not put together, we just hanged out together a lot. We were the delinquants at the back of the bus that made lots of noise.
And there were no drugs involved, that I know of. Though there was lots of alcohol.
That's awesome!
It's SOOO good to hear that you're having a great time! Not that there was really any doubt of that, but all that you've written sounds so totally awesome! And I am SOOO totally jealous right now:)
Keep up the fun, but don't get thrown off the bus:)

Free internet, and the one thing you DON'T do is go to a translator to translate the petrol tanks. No matter. I'll do it for you. :P
You got diesel right. Congratulations. :P
"Miscela" is actually "Mixture"... Which at first glance doesn't help all that much. It's probably not unleaded, but more likely to be that LPG stuff (which is a mixture of propane and butane).
"Super senza piombo" is "super unleaded" (literally translated as "super without lead").
Culture Week.... You timed this well, didn't you? :D
Very nice.
Smile :)
"And there were no drugs involved, that I know of. Though there was lots of alcohol."
... and alcohol IS a drug. I smell deception and shady corruption... :P
Travis Travis Travis, why can't you beleive that John and I attracted the girls using our boundless wit and charm?
Alcohol helped minimally!
Bah!!!!
Hahahahahahahaa...
...
Oh sorry, you're being serious...
:)
